Sainshand Salkhin Park LLC is pleased to announce that its Balance of Plant (High Voltage and Medium Voltage installation) has been successfully energized on Friday evening 17h30, September 21st, 2018. Subsequently, on Saturday, the first turbine has been commissioned and synchronized to the grid at 19h37.
During the coming weeks, the biggest wind park of Mongolia will be ramping up its capacity connected to the grid up to 55 MW once all 25 turbines are connected.
As from now on, SSP’s assets will contribute to an increased supply of energy to Ulaanbaatar through its wind turbines as well as to a more stable network thanks to its dynamic compensation equipment that enables improved power quality according to customers’ needs.
Furthermore, once fully in operation, SSP will supply electricity for approximately 100,000 households. This clean energy corresponds to a saving of around 200.000 tons of CO2 emission and contributes to the country`s greenhouse emission targets.
